Biography:
Thanos, as portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe culminating in Avengers: Endgame, is a powerful Titanian warlord driven by a desire to bring balance to the universe. He believes that overpopulation inevitably leads to resource depletion and suffering. Thanos was first introduced in the mid-credits scene of The Avengers (2012).
His ambition centered around collecting all six Infinity Stones to complete the Infinity Gauntlet. Once assembled, he could wield their combined power to eliminate half of all life in the universe with a single "Snap". This devastating act, known as the "Snap", fulfilled his twisted vision of universal salvation.
In Avengers: Endgame, Thanos is confronted by the Avengers attempting to undo his actions. Armed with a Double Sword and displaying immense strength, he proves a formidable opponent. Despite achieving his initial goal, his unwavering conviction in his methods ultimately leads to his defeat. Thanos is convinced he must wipe the slate clean again and rebuild the Universe to his liking, until this plan is thwarted by the Avengers
